I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Saturday Spankings - Interesting questions

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. In today’s snippet from Undercurrents on the River, Allie and Jenny had offered to speak with Sophie. Not sure how much of the birds and bees talk she had in the past, they felt that they could relate to her more easily than Annie could. But they soon see that they may have waited too long for this little talk.

Jenny, Allie and Cassie stood in the cabin doorway. The three of them were stunned at the unexpected scene before them. Ryder and Sophie were cuddled on the couch. Ryder’s back was to them as he kissed Sophie. His body blocked Sophie’s view of their audience. His shirt was off, and they could see that Sophie’s was unbuttoned. She wasn’t wearing a bra and Ryder’s hand cupped one small breast.

The music playing on Sophie’s phone wasn’t loud, but between it and their intense concentration, evidently neither had heard the door open. Jenny let a beat go by before she quietly said, “Guys?”

Her quiet word had the effect of a shotgun blast in the room. The children leapt up from the couch and Sophie clutched her open shirt around her. “We…we weren’t doing anything,” Sophie stammered.

“Yeah, we’ve been standing here watching you not doing anything,” Jenny murmured. After a pause, she continued, “Umm…Ryder, why don’t you go? We want to talk to Sophie for a minute.”

Ryder grabbed his shirt, his desperation to get away was palpable. But he stopped himself before he took a step toward the door. “No,” he said quietly. “I’m not leaving if y’all are going to fuss at Sophie.”

“Nobody’s fussing,” Allie spoke up. “It just seems like a good time for a girls’ talk.”

Ryder looked at Sophie. She nodded back at him. “We’ll talk later, okay?”

“You sure?” he asked.

“Yeah, go on. I’ll text soon.”

With that Ryder left, but looked back at Sophie, with a guilt written all over his face.

The awkward silence in the little cabin continued for a moment. “Why don’t we all sit?” Cassie quietly suggested.

Sophie quickly buttoned her shirt and sat on the couch. Almost without thinking, she drew her knees up under her chin and hugged them to her chest in a self-protective way. Still in shock at being walked in on, Sophie began crying quietly.

“We really weren’t doing anything, except kissing,” she told them, sniffling. “We weren’t having sex and we weren’t going to.”

“Okay,” Jenny said. “But you were doing a little more than kissing. Have the two of you had sex?” she asked directly.

“No!” Sophie insisted. “We really haven’t. We just… you know, mess around some.”

Cassie looked over at Jenny and Allie. Obviously, they hadn’t given their offered ‘talk’ with Sophie much thought.

It was Sophie who spoke up. “I know you all are probably mad. But before you tell me all the reasons for not doing … stuff, can I ask you all something?” Her tears were drying up and she took on a determined look.

“Sure,” Jenny and Allie answered eagerly, not knowing how to begin themselves.

“Well, it’s just that everywhere you look –TV, books, movies, Tic-tok, Twitter, – everywhere, someone is saying how wonderful sex is, but in the next breath they tell you not to do it. You know no one waits until they’re married any more. Ryder and I are both virgins so there are no diseases we’re gonna catch. I’m on birth control because of bad cramps, so there’s no baby worries. Why can’t we enjoy sex just like y’all do?” Jenny and Allie exchanged troubled glances. It seemed Sophie had put more thought into the questions she wanted to ask than they had put into what they wanted to tell her.

“Did you all wait until you were married?” Sophie asked.

Maybe Sophie should be a lawyer someday, Jenny mused. She no longer seemed as embarrassed or uncomfortable with this talk as she had just moments ago. Jenny wished she could say the same for herself.

She and Allie shook their heads to Sophie’s question.

Sophie pressed on. “I think I love Ryder and I think he loves me, and we know we’re way too young to be thinking about marriage, but what’s wrong with us having sex if it’s so wonderful? We’re not stupid. Shouldn’t it be our decision?”

Jenny and Allie seemed a little stymied at her questions and not exactly sure what to tell her.

Next week Cassie will weigh in with her answer to this question.

Undercurrents on the River (A Cassie’s Family Story)

Book four in the On the River Series

Cassie and Tom are happy being grandparents, not that this distinction is calming Cassie down any. She is still loving her life with Tom and enjoying time with Sue and Annie. Other family members are moving to The Landing, with Drew and Jackson returning. And puppy love seems to have taken hold of Ryder and Sophie. After Ryder shares the ‘family secret’, that all the men on The Landing spank their wives at times, the young people try a little experimenting themselves. Is a third spanking generation in the making?

However, when Cassie falls into a serious depression, none of the extended family  know how to help. She won’t talk to Tom or Sue about the cause and continues to sink deeper and deeper into herself. Cal has a suggestion to help, but Tom is a firm “No” to the idea. Will help come from a very unlikely source?

Cassie’s Space series

These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.

Cal’s Law series

Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.

On the River series

In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!

These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking enthusiast, I know you'll enjoy it.

I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.

Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.

Beautiful scenery

While Nick and I usually stay home, our kids have been traveling. LJ was in Costa Rica a while back and Mollie just got back from out west. I’m not wild when she and three of her friend fly away and rent a car to go sightseeing, but they’re grown and there’s not much I can say.

She is still seeing D and she is just as chattery about him as ever. Meaning when I do ask, “Are you still seeing D?” she replies, “Yes,” and that is where the conversation ends. Sigh…

Nick has done a tiny bit of traveling. He was on an overnight golfing trip this week. On the day he was gone I wrote over 2000 words. He doesn’t bother me when he’s here, but I admit I do more writing when he’s away.

I thought I’d share a few of Mollie’s pictures from her trip. She went to the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon.

Saturday Spankings - The Beginning

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. In today’s snippet from Undercurrents on the River, Ryder and Sophie decided to do a little spanking experimenting. Sophie’s fifteenth birthday gives them a great opportunity. It’s the last day of school, Annie’s house is empty when they get home at noon – it’s a great time to see what all the fuss is about.

“I’m going give you a few spanks to get the feel of things. You can tell me if they’re too light or too hard before I start the actual birthday spanking.”

“Okay,” she managed to get out.

Ryder gave her three light pats, which she hardly felt. “I guess that’s a little light,” she told him. Ryder nodded even though she couldn’t see him.

He tried again, giving three firmer swats. “That’s better but you can go harder if you want to,” she told him.

They experimented a while longer.  Sophie jerked once and gave a little “oww”. “Did I hurt you?” Ryder asked quickly.

“No, it just stung a little,” she assured him. “But I think that felt like a real spanking, so I guess that’s about how hard to go.”

Taking a deep breath, Ryder began. The first five stung a little, but Sophie liked the feeling. He paused and asked, “You okay?”

“Yeah, and you can go a little harder if you want,” she told him.

Ryder pulled her in tighter and spanked – hard – for the next five. Sophie felt her bottom begin to truly sting. It hurt, but it wasn’t a bad hurt. She could feel Ryder beneath her as she lay across him. He was obviously enjoying the spanking too.

“Last five,” he warned her. “Do you want them harder?”

Sophie said nothing but nodded her head. The last five were hard and fast and Sophie squealed a little and kicked her foot up.

“You still want the one to grow on with the hairbrush?” he asked.

“Yeah but make it two to grow on. You know one on each side. And go ahead and make these really hard since there’s only two. I just want to know how it feels.”

Ryder picked up the brush and laid it against Sophie’s bottom for a moment. Then he quickly brought the brush down hard on each cheek.

“Crap!” Sophie yelled. “That hurt!”

“I’m sorry,” Ryder said, “I didn’t…”

“Stop, I wasn’t complaining. You did exactly what I wanted you to. But it did hurt.” Sophie stood, rubbing her bottom.

“I bet it’s red,” Ryder commented. His mouth seemed dry suddenly.

“Yeah, I guess,” Sophie agreed.

After a long pause Ryder asked, “Could I see? I promise not to touch or anything. But since I’m the one spanking, I’d like to know…” he trailed off.

Sophie thought for a moment. She’d just been across his lap and his hands had been all over her butt. Giving him a look shouldn’t be a big deal.

She walked several steps away and, with her back to him, she pulled her shorts down below her cheeks.

Her cheeks were red. It was also the most amazingly beautiful sight he had ever seen in his life.

Best Advice

I enjoyed seeing my sister and she had a fine birthday. But when I got there, I found out she was having some sever problems with vertigo too. Her daughter swears I gave it to her over the phone. I tried to explain that vertigo is not contagious, especially over the phone or by email, but I’m not sure either of them was convinced. She was feeling pretty bad on Thursday, but much better by Friday and we enjoyed seeing all her old college roommates on Friday for the luncheon. These six women have been close friend since they met as college freshmen in 1971.

On to the advice. While I was at my sisters we heard about the earthquake in NYC and surrounding areas. Before I could panic, I got a text from LJ saying that all was well and not to worry.

A little later he told me this was what he told the workers in his office (mostly twenty-and thirty-year-old’s) as soon as it happened:

“Ok , start texting your moms now. We’re gonna get a lot of calls in five minutes.”

As far as I’m concerned that was the best advice I’ve heard a boss give. It sure was true. Bless his heart he’s really good about shooting me a text when something serious happens in his city. Be it a building collapse, a mass shooting or some disaster on the subway, I get a quick text saying, “We’re fine, didn’t happen near us.” This consideration sure does save wear and tear on my stress levels and my heart. He’s a good boy.

Saturday Spanking - Sophie learns more than she wanted to know

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. Today’s snippet is from Undercurrents on the River. Ryder is explaining to Sophie the conversation he overheard when all the ladies on The Landing were discussing spanking and how it worked in their relationship. She was listening intently until Annie, her great-grandmother, came up.

“Then it got quiet for a minute and Cassie said, ‘Well?’ Evidently, she was talking to Annie.”

“No! Stop!” Sophie demanded. “I know Granddad would never ever hit Greatmom.”

Ryder sat without speaking for a moment before asking, “Do you want to hear her answer?”

“No!” she repeated, before continuing quietly, “Okay, what did she say?”

“She said not more than once a decade.” He recalled but didn’t add the rest of the conversation with Annie, especially the fact that Cassie had called ‘bullshit’ on her answer.

“I know for a fact that’s not true,” he remembered Cassie had said. “You’ve had your butt spanked more than that and you know it.” Sue had asked, “Not even for sex?” Annie answered, “We don’t need spanking to spice up our sex life.”

Then Sue had muttered, “Cheaper than Viagra.” Annie had started to say, “We don’t…” but stopped when all the women began laughing. Ryder kept all this to himself – who needed to hear details of their great-grandmother’s sex life?

As the silence grew, he asked Sophie, “Are you alright?”

“I don’t know,” she answered. “That’s just the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard of.”

“I know,” Ryder agreed. “But the strangest thing is that they all seemed to like it. Like it was more of a game, a sexy game, than anything like a punishment. But from the look on Ryan’s face tonight it didn’t seem like Allie was going to enjoy anything.”

“So, you think it’s fun for them? How could it be? And Greatmom, Cassie and Sue… they’re too old for sex … aren’t they?” Sophie asked earnestly.

“I would have thought so,” Ryder agreed. “But it sounded like they were still doing it.”

Both Sophie and Ryder turned as they heard the men coming back. They saw Ryan come from the house and scoop up baby River to take him in. Sophie, still somewhat in shock, followed Ryder into the yard. Allie hadn’t reappeared.

.

.

.

Later, as Ryder walked Sophie home they stopped at their usual spot, just before stepping into the light in the yard. “Should I have kept my mouth shut?” Ryder asked her.

“No, I asked you what was going on and you told me. I just wasn’t expecting all … that,” she answered.

Ryder nodded. “I kinda want to ask Cal or Jenny more about it,” he said. “But I’m not going to.”

“Yeah,” Sophie agreed. “Thanks for telling me. I better go on in now.”

Ryder kissed her and as she turned to go, he swatted her firmly on the butt. Sophie whirled around as Ryder jumped back, holding his hands up in an ‘I surrender’ pose.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Sophie snapped angrily.

“I swear I won’t do it again,” Ryder told her. “Not unless you say it’s okay. But I don’t know, after what we talked about tonight … I … well I thought I’d give you a sample and let you think about it.”

Sophie continued to glare at him with angry eyes. But after she rubbed her butt a couple of times, her eyes lost most of their anger.

“You do have a birthday coming up,” Ryder reminded her.

“What’s that got to do with anything?” she asked.

“Well, you’ve heard of birthday spankings.” Ryder’s face felt warm, but he kept going. “I just thought you might want to think about it and if that was something you might want to try.” He took a deep breath “Well, you know.”

They both looked toward the house as the outside lights flashed twice. “I guess Lily wants me in,” Sophie said. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” She reached up quickly and gave Ryder a kiss before turning and running to the house.
